So i built a new system in March for my 21st and i still have lil things to iron out, My case is a hand-me down which is a "AeroCool AeroEngine II" lil on the old side and a bit battered, Ive been holding off on going Crossfire for awhile but still really want to do it but im not sure if my Mobo will be 100% suitable for it because of the PCIE placement.

Case replacement which looks amazing and i think im sold on that tbh.

My old mobo - Running like a trooper full power from the PSU with 8 pin power and overclocking my CPU more than i could have wanted.

Mobo replacement if needed- Nice spread on the PCIE arrangement to allow space between the CF cards.

If my mobo is suitable, ie the temps will be good then il ditch the new mobo idea and grab a nice SSD for the same price :)

Any help would be greatful!

Your current motherboard is not ideal as:

a) The 2 green and orange x16 (physical) PCI-E slots are close together which is poor for cooling

b) The orange slot only runs at x4 speed

as the above poster said, you will want the motherboard replacement.

normally i would say to not go for the motherboard you have chosen because you only neex x8/x8 crossfire, but at that price theres no reason not to

(get it quick because the deal will end on tuesday night)

Thanks for the speedy reply Surveyor, i thought as much being the Cards would be kissing in CF which i dont want, i want them as cool as possible.
again thanks :) time to buy
