Those who want the best storage go for the 5400rpm drives, while those worried about speed will go with the 7200rpm.
I'd be tempted to say, get a large 5400rpm drive for on-the-move, and buy an external backup drive running a 7200rpm for backups at home![]()
i always said i'd get a new drive when you could get at least 250gig and 7200rpm, but it still doesnt seem to have happened...
is the performance really noticeable? i do loads of 2d graphics work in photoshop and illustrator do you reckon 7200 would be worth it?
