Upgrading memory - advice please!

Okay am looking to ditch my 1Gb of Adata PC3200 ram for 2Gb of memory dual channel.

Am running an Asus A7N8X-E deluxe mobo with Barton XP 3200+ and Geforce 6800GT agp.

Any manufacturers I should go for or simply avoid like the plague?

there's many, but corsair and g.skill seem to stand out to be the lead memory suppliers..good luck

cheers mate. Think 1Gb is getting to be old hat or at least very entry level now! Battlefield 2 certainly eats up ram

hehe yeah, I just stuck any old ram into my old system (2gb) seemed to work, but yeah new ram is great, (although I'm now on DDR2 :cool:

)

Not really, even the Value stuff (e.g. OcUK, GeIL, etc) is good enuff

Just depends on whether you like to overclock, tight timings, etc :cool:

The Gskill ZX would be ideal, nice tight timings at 200FSB and a good price

Good choice chaps! 2Gb of Corsair XMS 3200 C2PT is now in my system and works a treat. WHole system a bit quicker and Battlefield 2 is now very smooth! very impressed
