Hey,

I'm looking to upgrade my motherboard, I did some research and bought the following:

Gigabyte 990FXA-UD3 SKT-AM3+

But when i plugged it in I just BSOD and was unusable as couldn't get into windows so RMA'd it. Now, I'm not too sure If I'm being unlucky as I also bought a MSI R9 290 which was also causing BS at a totally different time with my current build below and I RMA'd that and got a refund on both.

Could anyone recommend a upgrade for the below in terms of Motherboard which will support either another R9 290 or GTX 790?

Motherboard: M5A78L-M/USB3
PSU: Corsair CS750M Gold+
Graphics Card: GTX470 Twin Frozr
Memory: Corsair XMS3 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3
CPU: AMD FX8350 8 Core Processor
SSD: Crucial 240GB M500 SSD

Also, If you can spot any compatibility issues with anything let me know as I checked everything thoroughly and couldn't see a problem.

Thanks for any help!

Smallzz

*Edit*

I was looking at the following Motherboard:

MSI 970 Gaming AMD 970 (Socket AM3+)

Anyone have this or have any comments about it?

When looking at the motherbaords make sure the one you buy has heatsinks around the cpu chips, as the 8350 pulls some power and this will keep these cool.

I would try another Gigabye personally - did you do a fresh install after you installed the motherboard or try a startup repair.
