Hi

I've just recieved my new parts for my PC including a new gigabyte motherboard, as I'm changing so many parts I'd like to do a fresh install of windows 8 to get rid of any rubbish in there (systems seemed unstable ever since I upgraded to 8). I currently have no media installed as I upgraded online during the £25 upgrade deal. Can I install windows 8 directly or will I have to install Windows 7 first and will I need to make some sort of windows 8 DVD/USB drive first.

Many Thanks

You need to put Windows onto a usb stick, there's a Microsoft program Windows 7 usb tool that will create a bootable usb stick from your Windows 8 Iso.
best to do a clean install of Windows 8 but as you upgraded it won't activate when you do a clean install. There are loads of websites though that will show you how to activate after you've installed.I did this and it worked fine
