Upgrading my 290x lightning LE

Hello

Looking to upgrade my 290x lightning LE.

I currently game at 1920 x 1080 144hertz. I have an I5 2500K @ 4GHZ AND 8GB of ram and 1000W EVGA super nova power supply.

I'm playing PUBG, ARMA3, Dayz Standalone.

Any suggestions????

Depends on what you wanna gain over the 290x from a performance point of view as theres not a lot of choice unless you want a 1080/1080ti which would appear to be the best vfm option believe it or not, considering the price of anything below that level of vidcard. Theres a chronic lack of anything to buy atm due the miners getting their hands on anything in the mid to high range of cards, especially AMD, which in turn is pushing up retail prices somewhat ,and theres virtually nothing on the MM either. If you want to game at 1440 'frinstance, then a 1070 or s/h 980ti might be a good choice; but I personally would look at a 1080 as a minimum. Good luck finding anything below that though.

I see what you mean my card is currently selling for more then I paid for it. Thank you for the input, so I guess its either a 1070 or 1080 if I do upgrade.

Wait until the end of the month to see what Vega brings in the table.

do you think this well affect the resell value of my card they are going for crazy price at the momnet

The crazy price is because of mining. So no, vega should keep your cards value high. However, expect to pay more for a new card, as retailers are selling above rrp

And you might to make a snap decision as to wether to buy or not, I reckon the Vega cards will sell out pretty quick (down to the miners again I'd have thought).

Prices are just going to continue to rise due to stock shortfalls, esp now Vega has been seen to be great at mining too. If you see a good deal then grab it imo.
