Hi there guys :)

I currently run 2 8800 GTX's in SLi. I was wondering if I should sell them and go for a 4870x2 or a pair of GTX 260's for SLi. I currently game at 1920 X 1200. Would I see siginifant gains in performance?

How much should I expect to be able to sell the 8800 GTX's for?

Thanks

Farore

probably £80-£100 each depending .. the latter is on a certain auction site .. possibly higher. I'd probably recommend a single 4870X2 and i think i'd be right in saying you would see a gain in performance.

Erm well i have no idea at all why you want to get rid of 8800GTX sli... Have a look at this link, basically it shows 8800ULTRA SLI, which is just what you have but overclocked and you are likely to see about a 5% increase going for a GTX260 SLI setup so not worth all that extra money at the moment, unless your minted :p

And its likely to be similar for a 4870X2 :

I would stick as you are and wait for next round of GPU mate. Why pay between £150-£250 for an extra 5%?
