Hi guys,

Upgrading my 5-6 year old PC. Have an asus p5n-e sli which my mate referenced as ancient compared to his. Been out the upgrading business for a while and pretty much out of sync with what is out there.

Want to get something which has a nice bite into current games without blowing my wallet apart.

Budget of £400-500 to get mobo, chip, gfx and ram.

Thanks in advance

yeah bout the best cpu/memory/board for your money (im trying to keep it cheap as poss with decent spec)

Yeah, I'd do what wazza said - I had the same system as you, a P5NE-SLI with a Q6600 - never broke one bit, what a tank :D Upgraded to the system in my sig though, you could even (if you wanted) drop to a 4670k with a better gpu
