With haswell here i have the itch to upgrade my PC with a budget of £700. I have not touched it in ages it feels only when i added the SSD for the OS, Anyway here is my current spec.

Intel Core i5 760 @ 3.8ghz
Corsair XMS3 8192MB RAM
Asus P7P55D-E
2 x XFX 6870's
CrucialSSD M4 64Gb Samsung SpinPoint F3 1TB
ASUS Xonar DG 5.1
BeQuiet Pure Power L8 730W
Antec 300

Any suggestions on what needs replacing? I use it mainly for gaming.

Cheers

Get a nice case, tidy everything up, and resist the upgrade itch :D

(more constructive advice incoming - making a spec)

What CPU cooler do you have?

Perhaps something like this, and then add a case of your choice? (just for better airflow and cable management. I have an Antec 300 in the cupboard, I know what they're like for cable management.) :p
Re-use the rest of your hardware :)

YOUR BASKET
1 x HIS HD 7970 IceQ X² 3072MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card (H797QM3G2M) £319.99
1 x Intel Core i5-4670K 3.40GHz (Haswell) Socket LGA1150 Processor - Retail with FREE Grid 2 PC Game £185.99
1 x Gigabyte Z87X-D3H Intel Z87 (Socket 1150) DDR3 ATX Motherboard £127.99
Total : £645.37 (includes shipping : £9.50).

Bear in mind that you could probably get £180 ish back from selling the old hardware :)

I would probably use some of that to get a new CPU cooler, and then pocket the rest.

Yeh the inside of my case is a bit untidy to say the least.
Looks like a nice build, Would it be wiser to buy the ghz edition version of the 7970 or would i be able to OC it myself.
Also isn't the nvidia 770 the faster card?

It depends what you do with it really.

770 vs 7970 http://www.anandtech.com/bench/Product/829?vs=770

If you go down the 770 route this card is the only one OcUK currently have in stock. Otherwise I would go with the cheaper tri-fan Gainward card.

YOUR BASKET
1 x MSI Geforce GTX 770 Gaming Edition 2048MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card £335.99

As for 7970 vs 7970 GHz, you could just overclock it yourself, otherwise there is always this card:
YOUR BASKET
1 x HIS HD 7970 IceQ X² GHz Edition 3072MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card (H797QMC3G2M) £359.99

But for the £40 premium, I would rather spend a few minutes tweaking the OC settings of the standard card.

Quick update on what i went for,

Brought a fractal design define r4 window case, I5 4670K, Palit Nvidia 770, And a MSI Z87-G45.

Its a hugeeeee improvement over my old i5 760 / 6870's rig!

I bet it is :) Very nice. Love the case.

It's gonna another one of those 'don't stop till it drop' system. Should be good for quite a few years to come.
