Hello everyone!

I'm looking at getting a new CPU in the next 2 weeks, I was looking at the following 2 options below. I have a budget of £150. My primary use will be for gaming.

https://www.overclockers.co.uk/amd-...hics-4-cpu-8-gpu-compute-cores-cp-396-am.html

https://www.overclockers.co.uk/amd-...ghz-turbo-socket-am3-processor-cp-360-am.html

Just a few questions i have.

1) will either of these be a direct fit to my current set up?
2) which one of these 2 would be the better options?
3) are there any better cpu's I should be looking at for my price range?

My current setup:

Processor: AMD Athlon X4-860K CPU, 4 Cores, 3.7 - 4GHz
Graphics Card: GTX 1050 Ti 4GB
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-F2A68HM-HD2
Memory: 8 GB DDR3 1600 MHz
Power Supply: Aerocool 80 PLUS 500W PSU

Any help will be much appreciated!

I could add a little extra to the budget yes, I just realised I most likely need a new motherboard too, could you spec me anything better for 250?

If you can stretch to reach the Ryzen 1400 then that'll be a solid upgrade + loads of room for future upgrades. I've heard issues with the G4560 not being as smooth as the benchmarks suggest. However the cheapest setup is £330.

Could you link me please? will i need to purchase ram also? if so, could you link me to some 8gb ram too?
