Hi Guys,

This is my first ever post on this forum. I hope you don't mind me asking for some help on my first post.

I use my PC for work and downloading the odd thing. Work wise i only really use internet browsers, word, excel, and other similiar basic things. But i do run 3 monitors and one of these being a 30 inch one. So i do not need mega power.

But saying i dont need mega power i do spend my whole working day on it so i feel like i want to upgrade it a little.

Currently here is my rig out.

amd fx-4100 quad core -

motherboard - msi - 760gm-p23(fx) (ms-7641)

memory - ddr3 8gb - nb frequency 1999.9 mhz - dram frquency 66.6 mhz

graphics card - amd radeon r7 200 series ( i am happy with this card because it allows me to run 3 monitors)

1tb 7200rpm HD

Cheap £25 PSU

I have a good case i recently upgraded that i am happy with.

Windows 7 (i do not have a disc it came installed)

I have had someone tell that all i really need is to do the following upgrades:

- much much better psu
- replace the ram totally and bump it to 16gb
- solid state disk drive
- windows 10

Does this sound about right? If so can you's recommend me some good things of these too buy please?

I think i may also buy myself a new mouse.

Thanks for the speedy reply.

I was told look at seasonic PSUs at around 600watt. My current one is 700w but cheap.

I game on my ps4. I will buy that cpu though because i'd love a faster pc. Speed is main thing i am after.

Wouldn't a better speed ram bumped upto 16gb be advised also?

Even though i don't have a windows disc there is a product ID under "system" Can i not take a note of that and use it when i add the new components?

This would save me cloning and i could bump it too windows 10 then.

Once thing i really do need is ms office. I do not own it though as i am using starter for free.
