Title says it all really, could one of you guys recommend a good mobo preferably one that can do SLI. As I'll be wanting to upgrade my GFX card at some point in the near future too.

My system at the mo is as follows:

Antec 900 case
Corsair 620w PSU
Q6600 2.4ghz Core2Quad (will be wanting to OC this)
2gb Corsair XMS DDR2
Arctic Freezer Pro 7 Heatsink/fan
BFG 8800GTS OC 320mb
Foxconn G9657MA Mobo
Windows Vista 32bit

Any recommendations that would work with this system would be much appreciated. :p

Thanks in advance.

P.S first post....be nice lol

Welcome to the forum!

Any good p35 is bang for buck and great at overclocking q6600 like my ABit IP35 pro does and the Asus P5 premium is another good one.

However, p45 boards out now and they are meant to be better (reviews just appearing so early days) but come at a slight price premium. Asus seems to be the earlier best with these however ocuk now have about 20-30 p45 boards up for sale and across all manufacturers expect there to be about 100 different p45 boards available over the next couple of weeks

I'd wait and see how they all stack up but there is something there for everybody on a wide range of budget.

Neither p35 or p45 boards are SLI though but do you really need it? There are always (normally) a single gpu which will offer the same performance as two mid range cards in SLI unless you are planning on putting two GTX280 cards in SLI? ;)

No real gain from going SLI with a 8800GTS 320mb as you are so limited with memory so since you are looking a getting a better gfx cards, look and see what ATI and Nvidia bring out in the next couple of weeks.

If you must have SLI you are looking at a 680i or 780i board which I have no experience off so can't recommend you one but I am aware they don't overclock as well as the p35 boards do.
