Upgrading my PC; some questions

I bought my PC about 2 years ago and am planning to upgrade much of the components at the end of this year. I haven't got much experience in this sort of thing, so I'm looking for some advice.

Here are my current specs:
CPU - AMD A4-3400
GPU - Radeon 6850
PSU - stock/unbranded 450w
Motherboard - Asus F1A55
RAM - Samsung 1333MHz [2x2GB]

I want to get a better processor, but doing that requires a new motherboard and a better power supply, so I will be upgrading a few things.

This is what I'm looking to get:
CPU - AMD FX-8320
PSU - something like a Corsair CX750 Builder Series Bronze
Motherboard - Asus M5A97

I also need more RAM, so was thinking of getting this: http://www.corsair.com/en/memory-by...hannel-ddr3-memory-kit-cmz8gx3m2a1600c9r.html

Also, I'd quite like a new gpu, so was thinking of getting an R9 270X or 7950.

This all fits to my budget quite well and I'm fairly settled on the parts - however, what I am wondering is will it all actually work together? I know you can't just get any parts and stick them together and they'll work, so could someone please tell me if this will work?

Can I use the Corsair 1.6GHz RAM in conjunction with my current 1333MHz RAM? Both mine and the one I'm thinking of getting are in a "9-9-9-24" setup, which I hear is important, but I don't know what it means.

Is it also worth getting an additional CPU cooler?
And basically is there anything I need to get other than the actual components themselves?

Thanks :)

Your sort of on the right lines:

Nothing wrong with something like this:

YOUR BASKET
1 x AMD Piledriver FX-8 Eight Core 8320 Black Edition 3.50GHz (Socket AM3+) Processor - Retail £119.99
1 x Asus M5A97 EVO R2.0 AMD 970 (Socket AM3+) DDR3 Motherboard £89.99
1 x Avexir Core Blue Series 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Memory Kit (AVD3U16000904G-2CW) - Blue Light £49.99
Total : £271.37 (includes shipping : £9.50).

You'll need a new PSU though i can't spec until i know the whole story:

Are you likely to go Xfire/SLI?

Are you overclocking?

What case is this going in?

Thanks for the help;

I'm unlikely to xfire/SLI since I'm probably only going to be using the computer for another 2 years (heading off to uni), so I'm not looking at a long remaining lifespan of upgrades. I just want to have a great PC for the next 2 years.
However, although it's unlikely, I *may* xfire/SLI, so it's definitely something I'd take into consideration.

I don't know if I'll overclock. I may well do, to try and squeeze more performance out of it.

And the case is this case from InWin: http://www.inwin-style.com/pd_info.php?id=9&iw_lanid=0
