Built my rig 2 years ago at Christmas, thought it might be time to upgrade!

I can still play all the games I want to play fairly well but I feel like upgrading and ensuring that I can play games to come.

I'm aiming to spend around 300/350 odd quid just to upgrade. I was thinking mainly on upgrading my graphics card, buying an SSD and CPU cooler (I know!)

I know this isn't massively thread worthy but just wanted to ask what people thought as I've been out the loop with hardware for a year or so.

Cheers in advance!

I think a graphics card of choice is one of the better options, you don't really need an SSD unless you want the load times and the real snappy feeling when opening up different applications.

A CPU cooler could be a good shout as if you looked into overclocking you could get a nice little gain out of it, that's if you want to overclock of course. :)

This would be my recommendations:

YOUR BASKET
1 x HIS HD 7950 IceQ BOOST 3072MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card (H795QC3G2M) **FREE SHIPPING** £197.99
1 x Kingston 240GB SSDNow V300 Drive SATA 6Gb/s 3 2.5" (7mm height) Solid State Hard Drive - (SV300S37A/240G) £109.99
1 x Thermalright True Spirit 140 CPU Cooler £34.99
Total : £342.97 (includes shipping : FREE).

The cooler will allow you some room to overclock that 2500k to 4.2ish. However, your board will limit the overclock available.

SSD is always a good shout, you'll greatly reduce your boot times and loading time for games and apps, use your mech drive for games/files. Always a worthy upgrade.

Graphics card, the 7950 is an awsome price at the moment, this will give you a real graphics performance boost over your 560Ti.

What PSU & Case do you have? Just want to check the clearance for the cooler :)

Those are the part that need upgrading for sure,

Id do it differently though..

NOTE: id also advice a cooler but we need to know what case you have before we can spec one...

YOUR BASKET
1 x Sapphire Radeon R9 280X Dual-X OC 3072MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Card £229.99
1 x Samsung 120GB SSD 840 EVO SATA 6Gb/s Basic - (MZ-7TE120BW) £86.99
Total : £327.78 (includes shipping : £9.00).

Id grab the new 280X, it performs similar to the 7970Ghz and is cheaper than it and only £30-£40 more than the 7950.. Well worth it IMO.

Just gone for a smaller faster SSD.
