Upgrading my X800XT-PE to PCI-E

Will be upgrading my current board/CPU (NF7-S v2.0/XP2500-M) to an ASRock 4CoreDual-VSTA & E4400 as soon a the current CPU prices settle.

Was planning on keeping my current RAM (2x 1Gb Corsair XMS PC3200) & G.card (X800XT-PE 256Mb), but was wondering if there were any better AGP cards to be had for not a lot of money? When i say better, i mean noticable performance increase :)

Cheers
Scott

[EDIT: I'VE REALISED THAT THE ASROCK SUPPORTS PCI-E *DOH*

Duh.....just sunken into my thick skull that the ASRock board i'm gonna buy is also PCI-E *lol*

Should have around £100 left so i'm looking at getting an X1950Pro. Should i get a 256Mb for £91.06 or a 512MB for £115.18? (both Sapphire).

Or should i be looking at another brand?

Would go for Sapphire if you get the 1950, would stay away from the HIS they are being RMD'ed quite a lot recently

Worth the extra few squid for the 512Mb?

I would think that it could be worth extra for the 512mb if your gonna mod games such as oblivion, but I am sure the 256mb would be good enough.

Dont go for the 7600GT though, the X800XTPE is better than the 7600GT and only fails were it cant play games that need SM3.0, but the 7600GT wouldent play those very good anyway such as Vegas or Double Agent.

Worth an extra fiver again for a Sapphire ATI X1950XT 256Mb (£120.14)? :p

I only play WoW, so i'll stick with the £90 one if the others won't make it run/look any better?

If the x1950 XT is only a fiver more then definately go for that, its a lot faster than the pro and would totally destroy your x800 XT PE, performance increase will be staggering, i went from an x800 XT PE to an x1800 XT 512mb and was totally blown away, that was more than double the performance, and the x1950 XT is faster still. :)

Going from XP2500M/X800XT-PE to E4400/X1950XT should hopefully be noticable then?
As said above, it will be a big jump from the X800XT to any X1950 card.
The X1950pro is a great budget card but for an extra £5 i would definitely get the X1950XT.
