It's been a little over two years since my first build, and I'm off to Uni in a few months, so I've decided it's time for an upgrade! Then I thought who better to ask for help than the guys who helped me the first time.
I have a dilemma though: everyone has been telling me to move away from AMD and get a 'Sandybridge' from Intel. I need this PC to last me a good 3-4 years (hopefully the whole way through Uni) without any major upgrades along the way.
My budget is about £800, but I guess I could stretch to £1000 if it's very worthwhile. I won't need any peripherals, a monitor, or hard drives, and I don't need it immediately, so if there's is something worth waiting for I can wait.
Mainly used for games and general surfing. A massive need for GOOD multitasking (a slight issue on my current rig which i wasn't expecting).
Thanks for your help.
