Upgrading old pc ?

Hi guys,

I have a compaq presario sg3-210uk, which has built in graphics card but am I right in saying if I buy a different mother board and a graphics card will that be ok ? If so could you guys recommend me a mother board that will fit my pc please.

no not really, you'd be better of with a new system altogether tbh

new m/b and ram and vga card is a new sytem, all you'd be keeping is a box and maybe a low powered psu and a slow drive

Nice littlespec above. Giving us a realistic budget would help a lot, a £100 here or there can make all the difference.

Here's my £300 AMD spec, as it's a APU it handles bother CPU and GFX processing so you dont need a graphics card (for now). It will game fairly well on medium in most games. You can always add a dedicated graphics card later to what is already a decent cpu and it will be a pretty good gaming system.

You are looking at a full overhaul, but what's your budget? Something like the APU spec would be best on a budget and it can play most games out on some sort of settings
