Upgrading on a budget

I want to bring my pc out of the stone age gradually (Skt A 3000+, IDE, DDR, 6800 AGP ) and set myself up for 3700+ and Asrock mobo.

However, can I find this mobo anywhere? No chance.

So I got thinking about Asrock 775Dual-VSTA. What would be a good cpu to go with this board? I use the pc for gaming only, I'm obviously not expecting massive improvements but a real gain in gaming terms would be excellent

Even the E6300 at stock would be a substantial upgrade to what you have.

If you mean this, Asrock 939Dual-SATA2 (Socket 939 & Upgradable to AM2) AGP & PCI-Express Motherboard (MB-002-AK)
then look in the others section of the AMD mobos. Personally i would say get an X2 4400 if you can afford it, it's basically 2 3700's.
