hi guys

ive got
ASUS AN8-E
ATI RADEON X850 XT
AMD ATHLON (TM)_ 64 PROCESSOR 3200+
GeIL 512MB (2x256MB)

I GOT THIS ABOUT MAY06 AND NEAR CHRISTMAS I WAS THINKING OF UPGRADING BUT IM NOT SURE WHAT TO UPGRADE IVE GOT £200 TO SPEND
SO ANY IDEAS OR IS WORTH WAITING AND SAVING UP MORE MONEY FOR A COMPLETE SART AGAIN?

THANKS
GUYS

Is there anything that the PC doesn't do that you want it to currently? If the answer is no then why bother upgrading? The only obvious change I can see without more or less starting again is to get more Ram so you have 1gb but only if you can do so cheaply, since it is DDR you need you won't be able to use it on a new PC - both socket AM2 and socket 775 use DDR2.

Conversely why bother upgrading Ram if the PC does everything that is intended of it to the users satisfaction? Remember that any Ram upgrade will have to be DDR only which is not transferrable to any new system based on either AM2 or socket 775.

If it was me i would sell the CPU and Ram for say £60 which would then give you £260.

Buy 2 x 1GB Ram and a X2 3800+ CPU

This should give you a healthy boost :)

with the "X2 3800+ am2 or 939 i know 93 are being phaesed out so am2 best?

939 is being phased out but don't let that put you off!

For the amount of money you have to spend on upgrading you really won't do much better than the upgrade path i've already posted above :)
