Now that I've got my PC up and running (gorgeous!) I'm wanting to upgrade my older PC so that I can play LAN games with her as it's just no fun having one of us looking over the shoulder at the other playing. So... I have the hard drives and optical drives and all peripherals. That leaves me wanting a cheap but gaming-able spec for the following...

Case
PSU
System Board
CPU
Memory
Graphics Card
Wireless Modem

Budget... £450 max, but any less that will still run the latest games well enough would be great! :D

bit over budget, but perfectly overclockable, and should run very well

Not too bothered with overclocking, really. If I have to in order to get the games working, then okay, but otherwise if they'll run without overclocking then I'll probably leave learning about OC'ing for a rainy day.

EDIT: Don't need the router, just the wireless card. Probably should have clarified on that.

o right, well, if you arent going to overclock on a cheap PC you wont get it playing the newest games *that* well
im sure either way that CPU could handle most *new* games

This spec should handle most games effortlessly. The mobo may overclock slightly ( certainly to 1066FSB ) which will get you a bit more out of your CPU. The 8800GTS is a nice card and will handle almost any game you like to play. Also the case has a decent 500w PSU built in and works out cheaper than a seperate case/PSU

Belkin routers are terrible. Glad you don't need one, in any case.

The above spec looks good. If you're not overclocking, remove the third-party heatsink+fan and go for a better CPU. The E4300 or E4400 would still keep you within your budget.
