Hi All,

Im upgrading PC at Xmas and wondering whats i should buy,
I have looked around and got a few ideas in my head, your advise on if it would be a good system would be appreciated,

AMD 64 4000 - SKT 939
ASUS A8N32-SLI DELUXE GAMING MOTHERBOARD AMD 939
Corsair 2GB DDR400 XMS3200 Platinum Kit

Also *** sort of prices should i be paying for all that.

I already have a 500W PSU which i think will do, and also just waiting for some advise about GFX cards in the other forum.

Cheers.

What kit do you have already and how much are you wanting to spend. It would also be handy to know what you will be using the system for (games, MP3, PVR etc..)

85% for games and a little designing on Photoshop and other programs like this, but that will be a very small part.

I havnt upgraded me machine for about 3 years so i am not sure what it is anymore all i know is i have a AMD Athlon 2400 LOL and 1 GIG of cheap ram, motherboard is MSI and was top of range....3 years ago, not sure on the model.
So as you will see im pronably in serious need of an upgrade.
Erm budget wise im not sure, i dont want to go over the top with it.
Ill be gettin a new GFX card for around £170 and hopefully new system for £300 max, ill really struggle to go over that, would prefer to not spend that much tbh.

that looks good, and it will outperform a AMD 64 4000??
The GFX card is being bought for me by dad for xmas, but his budget for me was 180 lol.
