Upgrading PC sli??

I am thinking about upgrading my existing pc and am considering going sli with 8800gts cards as they are dirt cheap now. I have always wanted a 24" screen so the sli and this screen size should work well. In terms on cpu should i be looking at the wolfdale chips or the quads? I know i am going to need a new power supply and mobo but havnt really got a clue which ones to look at.

if you use your pc for gaming mainly, then a higher clocking dual core is better than a quad, get a wolfdale chip

An E8400 or E8600 would do you great. The PSU looks good too - very reliable.

After doing a bit of further reading about sli mobo's and how bad they are, should I really be looking at sli??? I think i might be able to get more out of my E6600 maybe 3.5/3.6 at push so i am learning torwards keeping this.
