Hi - i've just bought the following laptop -
ACER Nitro 5 AN515-58-55MF 15.6" Gaming Laptop - Intel® Core™ i5, RTX 4050, 512 gb -
Solid State Drive Interface
PCIe NVMe
SSD Form Factor
M.2

I want to increase the hdd storage so i was thinking of using the 2 tb 2nd hdd from my older laptop which is the following -
MSI GS73VR 7RF
1x M.2 SSD Combo (NVMe PCIe Gen3 / SATA )
1x 2.5" SATA HDD -

Giving the information i've provided would this be possible ?
Forward thanx for any advice on this issue.

There are two models if I use Kingston's configurator, one is DDR4, one is DDR5. I don't know which one you have.

The DDR4 version says:
Storage

USB 2.0/3.x Type-A SSD
SATA 2.5-inch 7mm
USB 2.0/3.x Type-C
SSD M.2 NVME 2280 (single-sided)

It is not clear from your post exactly what the drive you are planning to use is, but a SATA HDD is probably not compatible unless it is a slim drive (7mm).

I can't find a service manual and the user manual doesn't appear to have any guidance on changing/replacing storage.

Crucial's configurator says:
While Crucial doesn't have an internal SSD option for your computer, our portable SSDs are great for added storage without opening up your case.

A quick google suggests that you may have 2x M.2 slots *, but I don't know how to confirm this, you could try running hwinfo64.
