Upgrading Router

So I currently have a Cisco EPC3925 that was supplied by our ISP and we are in need of an upgrade.
Devices that are normally connected:
2 PCs(Which are most of the time used for gaming/ watching youtube/streams)
1 Laptop
3 Samsung S3
1 Ipod

Should I get an access point to act as a repeater? (If this is possible, because I don't know much about this stuff) Or should I upgrade the router?

Any suggestions regarding what router to buy? We have 50Mbps dl and 5Mbps up.

You'll probably need something with a built-in cable modem.

Why do you want to replace it?
