Xaser III case
P5q-pro board
Q8200 (running 2.86ghz)
Asus silent knight cooler
8gb ocz p6400 ddr2 platinum
Palit gtx260 216
Asus Xonar sound
hitachi 500gb sata hdd..
acer 23" lcd

Showing up this week is.
q9650 (hopefully if ocuk they restock)

a second palit gtx 260
kingston 128gb SSD.
Pair of acer 22" lcds

The obvious fault is.... my Mobo is the x-fire version :( so i will be needing to upgrade
Secondly i would like a new case, similar to the xaser but more modern.

Any recommendations?

rather than buy a new cpu @ over £200 and decent SLI supporting mobo @ around £200 buy new i5 cpu/mobo/ram

Gigabyte GA-P55-UD4 Intel P55 (Socket 1156) DDR3 Motherboard £135.99 (£118.25)
Intel Core i5 750 2.66Ghz (Lynnfield) (Socket LGA1156) - OEM + Colin McRae Dirt 2 Full Game £135.99 (£118.25
G.Skill Ripjaw 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C8 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit (F3-12800CL8D-4GBRM) £82.00 (£71.30)
Sub Total : £307.80
Shipping cost assumes delivery to UK Mainland with:
DPD Next Day Parcel
(This can be changed during checkout) Shipping : £9.00
VAT is being charged at 15% VAT : £47.52
Total : £364.32

Also 805W is overkill 750 is plenty, 650 prob enough
re case how much you want to spend on this? seen your post in case section and as your considering an obsidian youre obviously on a largish budget, you looked at the coolermaster HAFs? 922 mid tower 932 full tower, meet your requirements

I have concidered redoing the whole system to i5/i7 spec..
But already have the OEM 9650 on order...

Is there much difference in performance with the gear listed above to what mine will/should be running?.

Also I thought 850 may have been better for the twin gfx cards? not sure on the exact way to work out current required lol.

I have looked at the 932, but the HAF's look a bit too gamery with all the visable fans etc, i prefer a more perposful/ sleek look. Someone posted a link for a lian-li a70fb in my other thread which looks spot on for my requirements.

cheers
