Hi guys,

I currently have a set of Tannoy MX3's which i use for my front speakers for surround/music setup, for the price they were at the time loved them.

However my cat pierced one of the tweeters and i am looking for something else but really struggling.

Trying to find something ideally floorstanding that looks good and that would be a "upgrade" as such, my budget is £200 tops.

Somebody recommended me some Cambridge Audio s70's but they look and sound awful

Any suggestions would be great.

You will struggle to get decent floorstanders for £200 if you are after new speakers. could look at these maybe

Q ACOUSTICS 1030i
MISSION M33i

or go secondhand and get more bang for your buck

Dude for £200 second hand may be the way to go. Just out of interest, do you have a particular reason for wanting fs over bs speakers (where you'd have a few more options at that kind of price).

Heya,

Just looks really, don't think BS will fit well in my living room thats all.

However currently looking at some Mission 35i's but only if they have dust covers

BS speakers take up eactly the same amount of room when on a stand and depending on the size of your room and listening distance can produce a much nicer "less boomy" sound (especially at your price-level). This is all a maytter of personal taste of course, and I suggest you read reviews, and if you can go and audition some equipment before you buy.

if u can push an extra £60 u can get the tannoy custom f4s

im sure its would be well worth finding the extra ££

Theres a pair of Castle Serverns on ebay at the moment i think on BIN for £199 they'd be a cracking purchase.
