Hi,

I've just purchased a new laptop, but it only comes with a 128Gb SSD. I'd like to upgrade this to at least 512GB, but how do I know what will perform better, or at least the same as the existing SSD?

The existing SSD is just listed as: 128GB SSD PCIe

Many thanks,

Hi Tunnix. Do you know what make and model laptop it is? You can put the info into something like Crucial's website and see if they have a compatible SSD. You can then look on OcUK's shop to see if they've got something similar.

Please don't link to competitors

It could be soldered to the board or it could be user replaceable. What model is the laptop?

open the laptop up and take pics of the ssd. particularly model number, etc.

can it be easily replaced?

as for speed. all ssd's in the real world are as fast as each other. differences only show in benchmarks.
