Upgrading ssd

Hi. First off, I've had my OC's PC for about 3 years give or take. It still runs well, I've taken care of it. I may get a new one in a year or two, not quite yet. But I've been thinking of adding another ssd, specifically an nvme m.2 to my motherboard, which is a Rog Strix z270e. Just in anticipation for games like Starfield that only accept ssd's.

Some things I want to know, would any do? Any recommendations?

Also I want to know if the BIOS needs any adjustments, or if drivers need to be installed.

Hoenstly I'm a little scared since I tried to do something like this a few years ago on another computer, (not an nvme though) but it BSOD'd on me. I did something wrong, so a step by step would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks a lot. Is slot 1 the bottom one? The user guide says this:

A: Is M.2_2(SOCKET3) this is the one above the card
B: Is M.2_1(SOCKET3) this is the one at the bottom

So I'm just assuming the _2 part for A is slot 2, and _1 for B is slot 1. A for 2, B for 1.

Sorry I just want to get this right. Also if it's relevant, my C drive is an ssd, and I also have a mechanical storage drive on E. Both are inside a tray cage or whatever you call them.
