Hello, I was wondering what I should upgrade on my computer with my budget of £300

My current specs are:
Q6600 @ 2.4GHZ
Foxconn G33M Motherboard
6GB RAM 800MHZ
400W Power Supply
9600GT
Antec 1200 Case

At the moment I have bought a new Antec 600W Power supply due to the wires being too short for my Case and therefore I have decided to spend a bit of money on my system. At first I thought to upgrade my memory but the motherboard only supports 800MHZ so that is a problem at the moment.

I have £300 to spend and was thinking of buying a graphics card, either a 5870 or a 6850.

If you have any suggestions on how to upgrade my computer it would be very much appreciated.

Thanks. :)

Just looking at your motherboard and your PCI-E slot is only rev 1 so if you get a newer graphics card it will clock down to match the speed of the slot giving you a bottle neck so it might be an idea looking into a new motherboard during the upgrade :) ?

Me thinks you should buy one of the sandy bridge overclocked bundles when there released on the 9th, thats Your RAM.CPU and Mobo, Then try and save up for a GPU the perfomance increase should be somewhere in the region of massive :p

every body is going on about sandy bridge but on the 9th only the low end will be released, he may as well get an hi end i3 or i5 for the same cash
