So I'm thinking about a small (or maybe big) upgrade to my current PC. For the past year I've been hammering the PS4, but I'm looking to get back into PC gaming with a buttery smooth experience.

My current set up is...

Phenom X6 1055T (2.8 ghz)
4GB XMS3
Gigabyte 670 Lightening edition
1TB 7200rpm Seagate HDD
RM Corsair 650W
GA-880GM-UD2H (Cheap motherboard and sadly doesn't support a 8320 or similar and I've had no luck overclocking on this)

It still packs a good punch, but I guess the weaknesses are lack of SSD, 4gb ram, and the processor. Maybe a budget of £400?

I'm looking to buy in April, (or is there anything very close around the corner coming out?). Any idea of what I should be looking to upgrade?

Thanks for your help and time!

That looks perfect Stulid for a £400 upgrade! It's similar to what I was thinking of. I have a case, but honestly could do with another one, I can stretch my budget an extra £50 for that though.

I might buy the ram/ssd now and then get the mobo+cpu next month with a case I think.
