Upgrading three systems - what info to gather?

I'm upgrading the graphics cards of three of my kids' PCs to an R9 380. I want to do an inventory of their hardware and run a benchmark test before I install the new cards at Christmas. What information do I need to gather and what is the easiest way to do this without having to open them up?

I'm guessing
  • PSU Output
  • Motherboard make and model
  • Compatibility with case (does it fit)

As I write this I'm beginning to realise I might need to open them up. I would also be interested in
  • CPU make, model
  • Amount of RAM (I think they're all 8GB)

From a performance point of view I would like to measure current system and graphics card performance before and after installing the cards in each PC. Any tips?

Go here and download CPU-Z

As far as the PSU goes, take the side of the case off and read the info on the side of the unit. Make and model of case would be best too, but as a minimum whether it's full ATX or m-ATX etc

Valley benchmark will give you some idea on system and graphics performance

I've ordered three of these: RADEON R9 380 "DD DUAL FAN" 4096MB, one to go in each system. I'm going to replace the case on System 2 also. Do you think they will be compatible?
