Seems that lots of people are saying 970 SLI is a good value option, would my rig be fine for this upgrade?

I'm fancying some Elite Dangerous and Star Citizen in the future, with Oculus Rift DK2, and I'm hoping this would be good enough to hit the 75fps that kit needs.

Yup looks rally good, how old is your PSU, its the only thing I would worry about. I believe 2x 970 can actual run off 650w so its not really the power but the age that might be in question. Rest seems really good, maybe overlock your CPU to squeeze out more power.

Thanks for the replies, the 670's are doing fine still :)

The PSU is about 18 months old. Yep, I should overclock the CPU, been on my to-do list for too long!

I guess I'm getting a two year itch after seeing the 970/980 launch, although with a DK2 Rift the new Nvidia VR SLI stuff is an additional draw for me.
