Hi

I'm looking to buy a 2560x1440 Monitor for Gaming, I Currently got a BenQXL2410T but on some games I'm struggling to get over 120fps to benefit the full 120hz. I want to get a 1440p Monitor that i can play games on nearly max settings or max settings and get 60fps Minimum (i5 2500k 4.3ghz GTX570) I like the look of the Hazro 27" WC model but been put off by everyone saying the glass bezel falling off etc.

I was thinking of the Dell u2711 but the input lag put me off also.

Could anyone Recommend a 1440p monitor that is good for games, Input lag must be below 13ms.

:)

I'm in a similar situation, considering the u2711 but the only thing holding me back is that the u2713 is apparently out soon

HP ZR2740w is a really nice monitor with around 12ms input lag if i remember but anyway i would go for that if i was going for a 27 inch gaming monitor.

That HP has 10ms Input lag according to TFTCenteral, Might go for that, Cheers Sycho.

Aslong he doesn't enable large amounts of AA it should be fine....without AA even at that res the image quality is really sharp. When you add 4xMSAA the vram will go up a lot in some new titles like BF3/Shogun 2(vram goes up crazy in this with AA)/Skyrim.

In January i will be getting 680 Sli (New build) unless nvidia brings out new cards, then Performance shouldn't be an issue. I can always lower the Graphic settings.

Hi Coca-Cola, I've just upgraded to a Hazro 27" 2560x1440 and am over the moon with it.
Like you I'm running a 2500k and a gtx 570 (msi twin frozr) BF3 looks stunning and framerates are 45-60 v-sync on, temperatures have gone up though 71 degrees is the highest its hit. Also play The Secret World with similar results

So I would recommend the Hazro, good value and gorgeous screen.

i think the higher res as in 2560x1440 may give you a larger frame rate hit than that.
but res is king over higher than 60 ish fps anyway imo as long as its stable at that and doesnt drop to much below that when pushed if you have small fluctuations in fps its much better than high drop offs when the going gets tough..

i noticed a 30 fps average drop going from a 24 1920 x1200 to a 27 2560 x1440 monitor all else being the same i amm in need of new gcards tho tbh (2x hd5770) dont like them at all but they are just a stop gap for now

Hi Golf, I might just go for the hazro then, If it breaks i will just send back for a refund simples. :D

As long as the FPS is stable I'm happy with that, With the resolution of 1440p i think i would see a bigger difference than a 1080p monitor.
So i probably wont need to crank up the graphic settings to max anyway.

oh 1440 is awesome res to play at tbh just you may need to turn down some aspects of graphics in the game shadow density ussually take a fair chunk of frames etc depends on the game and your cards and drivers etc but yer 1440 all the way love it
