Hello
I am hoping to upgrade my Shuttle SN95G5 from my current AMD 3500+ to something like a dual core 4400+.
It is a Shuttle SN95G5V2, meaning that is was released before AMD X2 processors and therefore wasn't advertised as supporting them.
My sometimes-right-but-will-never-say-he-doesn't-know friend tells me that I can reflash my BIOS to make it work, which apparently he says is quite easy for Shuttles. I was hoping you could help me out with some questions:
- Is this true that I can reflash/update BIOS to add support for X2 processors?
- If so, is it easy?
- I don't have a floppy drive - can you do it using a USB memory stick or will I need to buy one (not expensive I know) and temporarily connect it?
Thanks
