Hey all, i'm getting close to upgrading to a i5 2500k Sandybridge setup but I just have a couple of questions before doing so, I asked about my power supply before, given that it's a CX400w and people said it would be fine as long as I dont have a super power hungry graphics card in it, but my plan is to upgrade to a Asus P8P67 and Core i5 2500k and then use a Corsair h50 cooler to overclock to 4.5ghz, now this alone should be fine on a CX400w but then I was helpfully told that the Ati 5770 would be a good card to use with it, but I forgot to mention that right now i'll only be gaming at 1280x1024, so what you still recommend that I use the same card?

Basically, would a i5 2500k overclocked to 4.5ghz on a Corsair h50, with a graphics card recommended for that resolution/power requirements related to the power supply be fine to run with a Corsair CX400w? my upgrade after that would be a new power supply, graphics card and monitor so I just want the CPU to be set up and ready right now if thats possible with this power supply, but thank you for the help, it's greatly appreciated :)

The CX400 was a very good PSU; significantly better than the 430W replacement.

You should be OK running the 5770 and the SB set-up with the CX400 - especially if you're considering updating your GPU and PSU at a later date.
