Hi

I am looking into upgrading my box next month. I'm not looking to be cutting edge but to be at least at a decent framerate (Im happy at 80 FPS) for the latest games.

My current rig manages Hunt Show Down at 80 FPS on medium to low settings but would like to at least manage 80 FPS on high.

Apparently https://pc-builds.com/calculator/ says I am bottlenecked on my GPU by about 30-odd % and a friend has suggested I dont need a new generation GPU and just need to upgrade the board, CPU and RAM and slap in a decent second SSD.

So currently I have:

ATX Tower
GPU: Nvidia 1070 OG8
CPU: i5 (Some 2015 model) with a stock intel cooler
Mb: Gigabyte manufacturer (Killer something or other, also 2015)
16 Gb Corsair ram (2015)
Samsung Evo 500 Gb Sata SSD and two mechanical HHDs
Corsair 850W PSU

So the suggestion was I go for:

Ryzen 3000
Cooler of some sort (Stock?)
16 Gb Ram rated over 3200 (Corsair?)
X470 motherboard (Needs flashing? Can it be done on this board through USB?)
Another SATA SSD or go NVME ? Been told for my requirements that the NVME isnt cost effective.

I'd be looking to carry over whatever parts I can to save money, budget is about £600-700

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
