Upgrading Vive to Index

So, I'm seriously contemplating an upgrade from the original Vive to the Valve Index. Read lots of reviews, watched plenty of videos.

I would really like to try out the Valve Index HMD and controllers before buying, but where in the UK have this? I realise some Expo's might have it, along with a queue longer than I care to think about.

Ideas? Thoughts? Or just make the plunge with buying it?

So the general consensus is just to take the plunge... I both like and dislike this option hah!

Where in Chelmsford are you? I literally set mine up yesterday and only got about 90 minutes on it.

I actually now live in Braintree, but still work in Chelmsford near the Multi-Storey car park, so I'm still local.

Oh, and I'm watching this thread so I can predict the news story of internet strangers killing one another.. I watch too many movies

Good news! Neither of us are internet stranger killers!

At least, I know I'm still alive, I'm assuming @VincentHanna still is after leaving his place earlier this week....

But, as of earlier this morning, my Vive is up for sell, and will be purchasing the Index very soon!

Noticed last night as I went to order my Index, Valve is currently out of stock of them!

Will be watching the stock like a hawk over the next few days me thinks!
