Upgrading what I currently have

I used to pay attention to the Hardware scene but I've lost touch over the past year so now I have no idea what I should be doing!

I have gathered that C2D is the way to go, so if someone could be so kind as to spec a computer that sits around that it would be lovely!

My current computer is...

I'm looking to play the latest games, would prefer something fairly quiet but I want it to be powerful enough to last over a year (such as my current one has)

My current PC I will be giving to my brother so I will need everything!

Looking for a 24" widescreen too!

Hoping to have a maximum budget of £1500.

Thanks, looks very nice.

I swapped over the mouse/keyboard for some razor ones, used them before and liked them!

Also added some surroundsound heatset (I don't use speakers).

Takes me very close to £1500 (probably over with shipping) but hopefully it'll last a while and I can get some money from my brother for this computer ^^.
