I have 8gb formed of 2x4gb of TeamGroup Xtreem LV 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-21300C11 2666MHz.

Unfortunately you can't find this ram anywhere anymore, I suppose it has been quite a few years.

What can I get which will work with it? I know it must be DDR3, but what about the rest of the info like PC3-21300C11 and 2666mhz? Mainly the 2666mhz, I can't appear to find any DDR3 that's 2666mhz! Yet 1000s that isn't.

Advice appreciated, i'm really overwhelmed with both the choice and lack of choice, I can't find anything that exactly matches my ram using those numbers and don't know what others I can use with it.

Cheers
David

The motherboard should work with any DDR3 2666mhz it will default all ram to the slowest cas timmings.

Cheers but I can't find any 2666mhz anywhere. Seems very odd.

So if I get 1600mhz,the two 2660mhz will downclock to 1600mhz?

Also is there any benefit to me getting just one 8gb stick and having 2x4gb and 1x8gb rather than 4x4gb?

Should downclock to 1600mhz and try and find the fastest you can get but remeber nothing is gauranteed to work, auction site may give you some options.

Go for 2x4gb so you keep things in dual channel mode.
