Hi all,

I used to build my pcs many years ago but have become so out of touch with what's good I just don't know where to start anymore. I've pieced together my current pc over time but feel it's falling behind.
With No Mans Sky coming out soon I'd love to get my PC up to scratch so any help would be fantastic!

I have limited information on what I'm actually running but here we go:

Intel Core i7-2600k CPU @ 3.40 GHZ
8GB Ram
Nvidia Geforce GTX 970
Asus P8Z68-V Motherboard - This was part of an overclocked bundle from Overclockers a couple of years back with the processor. Was roughly £700 back then. Edit - **Found from a previous post this was nearly 5 years ago! It was krypton z68 650i core i7 pack**

700W Stealth X Stream 2 Powerpack.
Crappy tower so would be great to get a semi decent one too.

Also any advice on a triple monitor setup would be great!

I was originally going to replace the whole PC but if I can work with what I have and save some money that would be great. I was going to spend £1500 on a new PC but if I can avoid that then I'd be well happy.
I have keyboard, mouse etc.

Thank you all!

An ssd would be a good investment, could overclock your cpu. Can't see your current pc struggling with nms.

For some stupid reason I didn't consider extra load with 3 monitors, I'm currently running 2 so might just upgrade those 2.
I believe it's already overclocked when I purchased the bundle from overclockers themselves, although I maybe talking about a different part? Sorry :)

As others have already said, I'd keep the guts of it.

Overclock the cpu, add an ssd, new GPU and another 8gb of ram.

A 2600k is still a fine cpu.

That's great to know, thanks for your advice all! :D

Also at the risk of making a total ass of myself, I've only just learnt about SSD and the speed they can actually boot up your system. Looks amazing, can you guys recommend one at all? Would be looking around £200-300.

Thanks again!
