So im upgrading my system from 3770K @ 4.20GHz, 16GB DDR3, MSI Z77A-G45 MOBO with 1080ti.

The GPU im not worried about. But im just changing the CPU, RAM and MOBO. Question is do i use an AIO with RGB or use a beefy air cooler potentially covering up all the glorious RGB ram im going to use or the AIO which will look all pretty. Im looking to keep temps down and noise down.

Just finding it a tricky situation...

The case im looking at is on another site Antec NX300.
CPU - 3700X
MOBO - TOMAHAWK MAX
RAM - 16GB DDR4 G.SKILL 3600MHz TRIDENT Z

Not really a budget on the cooler just looking for ideas..... advice really.

Much appreciated

better case with airflow

high performance slim coolers

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £152.68 (includes shipping: £8.70)

also push Carbon AC over Toma MAX- vrm design slightly better - shame mosfets used but more chokes and better arrangement. cant remember if PCB is higher as well

I was reading someone on here recently saying that AIO coolers will degrade over time whereas an air cooler won't. That might be a factor to consider.

I fitted a Noctua NH-U12P air cooler to a build 10 years ago, and it has given me zero bother. I've blown the dust out of it maybe 3 or 4 times.

You can also get a black version of the Noctua, in case you're not a fan of their brown colours.

different fan, also the older heatsink design that is slimmer and less heatpipes. but for ryzen 8 core would be fine :)

specially with aluminum rads and copper cold plate . corrosion will happen unless they are using extremely expensive inert liquid . any with CLC from asetek- cut it open after 4-5 yrs .

Air coolers its just replacing a fan . If your going 32 core TR or 18 core Intel then yeah, you'll be going 360 clc/aio or custom water etc
