Hey been using a 8500GT 512mb pci-e for a while (yes its a terrible card)

It was doing fine for a while when i was playing games like HL2, but the other day I tried TR: Underworld and CoD:WaW and couldn't get more than 40FPS with everything at minimum and at 800x600, so yeah need to upgrade.

I have a very old computer what I've gotta make do so

Pentium D @ 2.8
1GB ram 400mhz
250GB 7200rpm
19" TFT (1440x900)
and a old PSU that I cant even find a sticker on too tell me the wattage but I assume its no more than 400w.

I have a £200 budget, i know it's tight but again i gotta make do

So i was thinking either a 4870 or a 9800GTX+ or a 4850

But after reading and looking at benchmarks and reviews, I still cant decide so i thought i'd ask the experts :)

Thanks

Thanks for the quick reply

I did try finding the Specs for that mobo on google but I couldnt find it anywhere maybe I just wasnt looking hard enough.

Problem with OC'ing the CPU is the motherboard doesn't have OC features in the BIOS.

Thanks a lot for your help guys

if i hadn't asked for help here I'd probably have ended up trying to use a HD4870 on a 250W PSU :P
