Upgrading...

This is my first post, and so I'd like to say Hello to all of you. I'm looking at upgrading my system as its slowly starting to struggle. I'm a novice at this kind of thing so i was wondering if any of you could give me any advice on the following setup. I wont be needing optical drives, HDD, or peripherals as this is taken care of.

I don't really want to spend much more than the current cost, although if any of you could save me any money that'll be fine

If you intend on gaming then maybe stretch your budget and get a 4870 or a nvidia 260.
I couldn't justify paying £150 for a 4850. Although it is a good card if it suits your needs.

I will be using it for design work, basic tasks, word processing, and gaming.

Also if you don't have a large monitor then go for the 512mb 4870 rather than the 1gig, it will save you £.
