Upgrading

My Current Rig -
Motherboard - ASUS Rampage
CPU - i7-3820 @3.6Ghz
GPU - GeForce GTX Titan
RAM - 12Gb 1333mhz Kingston HyperX
Storage - 2x SSD ( 64gb for my OS and a 256gb for storage ) 1xHDD ( 2TB )
Heatisink - Cant Remember Exactly what one

i can remember it is good and it has a lot of potential for overclocking if i had a cpu that i could overclock

PSU - 1200W PSU 80+ Gold Again Cant remember exactly what one

Lets Say i had £1000 for upgrades , and i think thats what i will have , what upgrading do you guys reccomend , i will go sli aswell if its the best upgrade for me atm

RAM seems to be an odd combiantion, hows that setup? 3X4GB?

You should be able to get a decent 4.6Ghz with the 3820.

hey im sure that you couldnt overclock the cpu's without a k at the end im sure i seen somewhere that you cant overclock the 3820 because it doesnt have a k at the end and yeah it is 3x4gb

You cant adjust the multiplier but you can increase the BLCK/BLCK strap.

The multiplier is capped at 43. You need to set the bootstrap at 125 and then increase your multiplier to get the OC you want.

ah nice gonna do that atm , gonna try get it up to 4.3 - 4.5 Ghz so say i get it around there what would be my best upgrade choices

What games and at what resolution do you play at?

I have a 3820, P9X79 Pro, 16GB sammie greens and an MSI GTX670 OC and play at 1920x1080 144Hz. Plays just about everything on high-ultra settings. The only upgrades I would be looking at, would be another 670 and possibly a 3930K, at the right price(secondhand).
Also depends on what else you do on your PC, besides gaming.
What case do you have?

I would suggest going down the watercooling route as you don't need to upgrade anything in that build.

If you want to go sli we need to know what resolution you are play games at, maybe you can go for a 4k monitor

i play at 1920x1080 and just play all games pretty much none in particular , i have a HAF 922 case

You could just hang on to your money and wait for X99 to be released later this year.
