Upgrading

That's yester-yesteryear's CPU with less threads than in next-gen consoles for brand overprice and on dead end upgrade path platform.
Ryzen 3700X is bang per buck choise for gaming and there's upgrade path on AM4 to improved architecture CPUs.

MSI B450 Tomahawk would do decently well with 12/16 cores.

Heck, lower price would get 12 core/24 thread CPU to last next-gen games, overkill motherboard, definitely future proof 2x16GB memory and good quiet CPU cooler.
My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £835.46 (includes shipping: £10.50)

Agreed with @EsaT

That Intel bundle is poor value, in fact going Intel in general is poor value at the moment.

The spec suggested above is much, much better and will have far greater longevity.

Thanks for the info.

That MOBO is out of stock, is this one suitable:

It would work yes. On OCUK, it only lists supported RAM up to 2666Mhz but the official website says 4400Mhz. I know it's Sunday but I would contact OCUK when you can to check this as you don't want to be stuck at 2666Mhz.

This is the link to official MSI website: https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/MPG-X570-GAMING-EDGE-WIFI/Specification

It will work but isn't even remotely worth its price.
After being B450 hero MSI traded role with Asus/Gigabyte in X570:
Half the range has £100 B450 board copypasta VRM, which is total scam in £200 boards.

Even with CPU at stock under full all core load like video encoding VRM runs at not good for long term reliability temps.
And start manually pushing CPU and it's good thing that lead free solder has higher melting/softening temperature...

Asus improved VRMs from their worst of B450 scams, but their chipset cooler design is 15 years old bad, if you want long lasting board:
Actual heatsink under marketing BS covers is made of tinfoil and relies entirely on fan's airflow, which because of its worst possible position is bathed by graphics card's heat.
Gigabyte/MSI X570 chipset coolers with actual good size better positioned heatsink are capable to semi-passive cooling and fan failure likely wouldn't cause overheating.
(at least without heavier chipset load/bad case cooling)

So Gigabyte would be worth of waiting for restocking.
While in B450 MSI was whole track lap ahead of others in 100m run, in X570 MSI fell far behind others and Gigabyte did the best/most balanced design job with Asus falling behind in that chipset cooling.
Have to wonder who takes the lead and who scams in next round of boards...
