Upgrase to RX 9070 XT

There are no higher-end AMD cards this time round. 9070XT is the top GPU aimed at the middle 5070/5070ti tier.
I remember reading something about them not aiming for the top end, but are they really not doing a 9080XT?

Damn, guess I’ll have to go Nvidia again.

Paying double the price for roughly a 20% performance boost with a 5080? Count me in! :D

Unfortunately it's still the better card in almost every way, especially if you want consistent 4k.

I won't be buying anytime soon given how overpriced everything so will see where things are later down the line.

Without knowing your use case, I'd sit on that 4070 Super. To echo others, 9070xt is a better card, around 20% faster, but not materially worth the extra money.

Next gen should have a much better uplift, so I'd wait on that.

I'm doing a controversial "sidegrade" from an 7900 XTX to a 9070 XT. In the games I play it pretty much matches the XTX but the 9070 XT has usable upscaling that doesnt look like vasaline. I play 4k and the XTX still needs an upscaler in most games to do decent 4k frame rates. I can't use FSR 3 it's that bad, so for me the new FSR is worth the slight performance loss. I can sell the XTX for quite a bit more than the 9070 XT.

Unlike the XTX though the 4070 super doesn't suffer from a poor upscaler or poor RT performance, I'd stick with the 4070 super and wait for the super models of the 50 series or try find a reasonably priced 5080. I wanted to upgrade to the 5080 but it's just not worth the current price.

Hopefully, they'll release a 5080 Ti that's a bit more appealing than the 5080. It doesn't need to be groundbreaking—just a cut-down 5090 with 24GB of VRAM would be perfect.

The 5080 is absolutely a scam and should’ve been the 5070Ti so I am hoping they add a better 5080 tier card, and maybe drop pricing like they did with the 4080. Doubt they will though.

If AMD did a 9080XT, I’d be all over that.

What sort of prices are you seeing for selling the XTX? I'm in the same boat and assumed CEX would be the best bet, which looks to be around £550
