Upgrate to Windows 7

Hi all,,
I currently have an Alienware ALX M/C (yes I know, over priced, but Im not here to discuss that).

My machine is about 18 months old & is exactly as delivered 2 8800GTX, Windows Vista 32 Bit, 4 Gb Mem, etc

I was considering changing over to the 64 bit version of Windows 7 & was just wondering a)how easy would it be to do. b) would I see that much difference in performance.

Any thoughs / comments are appreciated.

a) As easy/hard as wiping the hard disk and reinstalling
b) Can't really foresee any major issues, you'll see more of your RAM and get a small increase in performance (or a decent increase in certain apps)

Requires a clean install but its just a matter of putting the disk in and then formatting the hard drive when it asks you where to install it.

b) would I see that much difference in performance.

Windows 7 feels snappier than vista, and also starts up and shuts down quicker. In games there is a slight performance increase. 64bit only increases performance when your using a lot of ram.
