What do you guys do?

Method 1
-Allow Windows 7 to do its business and get all your chipset drivers
-Then install ATI/Nvidia drivers manually

Method 2
-Download chipset + other drivers manually

Just wondered as I find doing the 2nd option I get a little in-stability in games

Just pondering :)

For me it depends of the system I have found at times method 1 can work best for some machines method 2 for others I know it sounds odd but having drivers always update to date isn't always the best method.

I usually let it download everything via windows update. Whatever is left I'll download, and download graphics drivers.

I guess we all live by "If it works, don't touch it!"

Been having a bit ofa bad stability lately so going to fresh install this Monday and just wondered what others do.

What do you do about directx and net framework? I usually leave framework for win7 and get directx myself
