Looking to add UPS to my raid server, any recommendations please. Does it have to be sine wave ?
Looking to spend £200-£300, don't have to run it for long....just to auto shut it down.

I'm using a CyberPower 1500VA which is massive overkill for my DS920.

Do you know what your raid server is drawing in terms of load?
Think Max draw is around 120w.
Been looking at Eaton UPSs, from my understanding they are good brand.
Too much choice to be honest and not many reviews about.

Are you looking at the multisocket type Eaton UPS range? If so you just need to be cautious around which side you plug in to from memory as I think only one side is UPS backed. They were also well below your budget at the time (around £90).

I had a look at one for someone about a year ago and seems a reasonable bit of kit at a spec level for graceful shutdowns; totally forgot about it until you mentioned Eaton.

For home use, I tend to pull in older APC units and run NUT on UnRAID, buy a decent capacity unit and you get to run router/modem/switch or in my case two servers and the rest of the rack for an extended period. They're often sold off cheap without cells, but be warned, non-genuine APC cells tend to last beyond the warranty period, but not as long as genuine.

That's a great point, will look on eBay. I take it AVR is more important than sine wave as it will be set up to shut off server ?
