Very tame as far as the violence scales goes, but several minutes ago I was witness to an attack on a young couple walking up Park Street in Bristol.

Completely unprovoked, a young lady was punched and thrown to the floor along with her partner by a gang of four burly men. Whilst I was extremely close to the situation, there wasn't anything I could do but attend to them.

Both drunk themselves, I was told to "leave us alone" amongst sobs of tears. "I just want to leave this ******* country" the lady cried.

I found this incredibly unsettling, despite both victims being relatively uninjured. I have never encountered any sort of violence myself (I am the type which avoids trouble before it starts), but I can't help but think what would it be like if it were me and lady friend :(

Meep.

damn thats some pretty uncalled for violence. It's the sheer randomness that gets me. No longer does minding your own buisness keep you out of way of these people.

Glad they werent too badly injured.

Darn I used to live in Bristol, in Redland and used to walk up Park Street after a night out down on the waterfront. Always seemed safe to me, lot's of pished up people but good natured folks. That was five years ago mind.

Probably UWE students.

Another case for me carrying a little snub nose .38 in the inside of my sock. Sorry you had to go through that dude. Unfortunately there's rarely anything anyone can do, they roam in packs of 3+ and only ever go for people who can obviously not defend themselves, simple minded ********.
